Hi Rebecca! Happy birthday to the littlest Disney fan in your family! The Walt Disney World Resort is a great place to have a first birthday celebration!
My top recommendation for a first birthday is to enjoy a character dining meal! My top suggestions for dining with Mickey and his pals are
Chef Mickey’s (for breakfast or dinner) and
Topolino’s Terrace (for breakfast)! Both dining experiences are located in Disney Resort Hotels, so no extra admission is associated with these meals. I also recommend
Tusker House Restaurant (for breakfast, lunch, or dinner) at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Here, you will find Donald, Mickey and other Disney friends! One important detail to remember is that you will need valid park admission for Disney’s Animal Kingdom to dine at this restaurant inside the park. Remember that all character appearances at character dining locations are subject to change.
Rebecca, here is a PRO TIP for you…When you make a reservation at most Disney Dining table service restaurants, you can add a Mickey Celebration Cake to your reservation! The cake is currently priced at $39 per cake (please note that prices are subject to change). The option to add a cake will automatically be provided when you make your reservation. You can choose to purchase the cake by clicking “Add Cake” to your reservation! Once you click “Add Cake” you will be given multiple cake flavor options!
Also, don’t forget to get a birthday celebration button! These are complimentary and can be picked up at your resort hotel or any Guest Relations location at the Disney Parks! I recommend pinning it to your baby’s stroller. Not only will other Guests and Cast Members want to wish your baby a happy birthday, but it will also be a great way to identify your stroller when it’s parked with all others!
Happy birthday to your little Mouseketeer from planDisney! We all hope you have a great visit to Disney’s All-Star Music Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort!
Dreams do come true!
