Where is the best viewing area for the Star Wars spectacular?

Hi, Guadalupe! Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular combines fireworks, pyrotechnics, special effects and video projections to turn the nearby replica of Grauman's Chinese Theater and other buildings into the twin suns of Tatooine, a field of battle droids, the trench of the Death Star, Starkiller Base and other Star Wars destinations. By following a couple of easy tips you should find an unforgettable viewing location for this spectacular.

On the evening you plan to view the show, I would begin looking for your ideal spot at least 30 to 45 minutes before the show is scheduled to start. You will notice two large projection towers on Hollywood Boulevard, close to The Great Movie Ride. Try to be in front of these projection towers. The majority of the fireworks are shot off to the right; however, they are more of a complement to the movie projections than being the centerpiece of the show. I think the best view can be found if you are positioned a little to the left side (when facing The Great Movie Ride) so that your eyes are angled towards the displays while still taking in the projections. For other fireworks-based shows at Disney's Hollywood Studios, I have often told friends that a great alternate viewing location is just outside the park. In my opinion, this advice really does not hold true for this show as you will miss so much of the show's story line if you cannot see the projections.

One other tip – try not to rush out of the park to find transportation immediately after the show ends. In my experience, there is often a traffic jam at the exit to the park at this time and the Disney buses taking Guests back to their Resort hotels can be filled to capacity. Consider taking your time and maybe doing a little shopping on Hollywood Boulevard. I hope this information helps you plan your evening a bit easier, Guadalupe!
