Hi there, Madeline! Welcome to the wonderful world of the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for dropping by and allowing us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
Walt Disney World Resort does an excellent job making all of their attractions accessible to all Guests. As a fellow wheelchair-user, I am very appreciative of this and am so happy that I too can view the fireworks show at Epcot without a restricted view! There are actually four different designated viewing areas for those utilizing wheelchairs. These viewing areas are strategically positioned around the
World Showcase at Epcot to provide the best views as possible! There are two in Showcase Plaza as soon as you enter the World Showcase from Future World. These are the two I would most recommend attempting to reserve since they offer the best line of sight. The other two are located at the Germany Pavilion and the UK Pavilion. It should be noted that these areas are first-come, first-serve so they can fill up to capacity. I would recommend reserving a spot up to one hour prior to the start of the show.
I also wanted to let you know that
Illuminations: Reflections of Earth will be ending its 20 year run after the Summer of 2019 so it is possible that it will no longer be running during your August trip. However, an all-new fireworks show will be released later this year! Be sure to follow along for updates pertaining to this new fireworks show at the
Disney Parks Blog!
Have fun continuing to plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
