Welcome to planDisney, Jennifer!
Woo hoo!! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is coming up in just a few short days. I'm sure you must be so excited to take part in
The World's Most Magical Celebration. Be sure to sample some of the limited-time
50th Anniversary treats -- they are both beautiful and delicious!
Disney's complimentary
resort transportation includes the iconic monorail, boats, buses, and my personal favorite, the
Disney Skyliner. However not all transportation methods serve all destinations. Transportation from
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside to
Disney's Hollywood Studios and all theme parks will be by
bus. Just head to the bus stop located closest to your room. Buses arrive about every 20 minutes on average and are usually a bit more frequent at park opening time. You can even check when the next bus to your destination is due to arrive at your resort in the
My Disney Experience app. Select "My Resort" and then scroll to where you see the "Bus Wait Times" icon. Note that this feature is only active during your Disney Resorts Collection Hotel stay.
Water transportation is also available from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside to
Disney Springs. This relaxing ride down the Sassagoula River is a great way to travel.
If you'd like to take a ride high in the sky on the Disney Skyliner (and you most definitely should!), you'll see a Skyliner station near the bus loop at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It is about a 5-minute ride to the transfer station at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. From there you can pick up the line going to the station at Hourglass Lake serving Disney's Pop Century and Art of Animation Resorts, or the line heading to Disney's Riviera Resort and International Gateway at
EPCOT. You will not need theme park admission or a Disney Park Pass reservation to ride the Disney Skyliner. If you'll have a ticket with the
Park Hopper Option, using the Disney Skyliner to hop between Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT is a relaxing and efficient way to travel between parks. I have included
this map showing the general location of Skyliner Stations. You could also zoom in and scroll to view Disney Skyliner stations by selecting the blue links to the left of the
map at the bottom of this page.
I hope that helps! Please stop by and see us again if you have any additional questions. Enjoy your stay!
