Hi there, Brooke!
Thank you for traveling over the river and through the woods to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about your upcoming camping adventure. I'm excited for you to stay at
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort! My son and I stayed here just this August and enjoyed every minute.
Renting a golf cart is a great way to get around this expansive resort. We did not do this on our trip, but I wish we had! If you do not rent a golf cart, this resort has an internal bus system that will get you from your cabin to your transportation options and
resort amenities.
We found the
water transportation to be the most enjoyable way to get to Magic Kingdom. We found travel time to be comparable to the
bus transportation, but was a more relaxing way to get there. To get to the other three parks, bus transportation is the only other direct, complimentary transportation from this resort.
On several occasions, we paid for
Minnie Van Service, ordering rides through the Lyft app. We found using this service greatly reduced our travel time, especially near park open and park close.
If you do want to minimize your travel time, but still utilize the complimentary bus transportation services, request a cabin in the 2700 or 2800 loops. You can easily walk to the transportation outpost from these cabins, eliminating the time you need to spend on the internal bus line.
Have fun making memories as you travel around Walt Disney World Resort! Angie
