Hello, Hope! Thanks for stopping by for help planning an adults only trip for two.
If it’s just the two of you heading to
Disney World, the “best” time really depends on what kind of trip you want. If you’re hoping to avoid the heaviest crowds and the highest prices, I’d recommend going in late January through early March or late August through mid-September. Those times are usually lighter on crowds, and you’ll sometimes find better resort and ticket pricing. The weather is also a big factor. January and February are cooler and more comfortable for walking the parks, while September is hotter and more humid but comes with lower wait times.
If
festivals and special events are your thing,
EPCOT’s festivals can add a lot of fun to an adults-only trip.
The Food & Wine Festival, in late summer into fall, is especially popular for adults, since you can snack and sip your way around World Showcase.
Festival of the Arts in January and February is another great option, with beautiful displays, performances, and unique food booths.
The holiday season, my favorite time of year, which is mid-November through December, is also magical, but it’s busier and pricier. Still, the decorations, special shows, and seasonal treats make it one of the most beautiful times to visit.
So if you want lower crowds and cooler weather, aim for late winter or early spring. If you want festivals and don’t mind heat, September–October is great. And if you want pure holiday magic, November–December is hard to beat.
Hope, if you'd like help choosing the perfect Disney resort, I can help with that too. Stop by and see me again for any other questions you may have.
Toodles,
Korliss
