When is the best time to visit for low crowds? We have a travel window of January to March. I am visiting with my sister. We are ages 55 and 65 and would like to limit walking so where is the best place to stay?

    Hello Diane,

I'm thrilled to infinity and beyond that you have a vacation planned to The Happiest Place on Earth with your sister. You are going to create magical memories that will last a lifetime.

We like to enjoy the Disneyland Resort when it is not too crowded as well. The good thing is that the travel window you are considering is during the non-peak season, mid-January through mid-March (except for President's Day weekend). We like to visit during the middle of the week, Tuesdays to Thursdays, this is typically when the number of Guests in the park is a bit lower. However, it is hard to say which month would be better for shorter lines because the parks are always popular. I recommend visiting in February except for President's Day weekend.

All three of the Disneyland Resort Hotels are all so pixie dusted! I understand your concern, Diane, about all the walking while visiting the Disneyland Resort, and because of this, I recommend staying at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. This hotel has a direct entrance into Disney California Adventure Park and the option to head to Disneyland Park through the Downtown Disney District.

While your sister and you are enjoying the parks, be sure to utilize the Disneyland Railroad. This vintage train is a convenient way to get around Disneyland Park with 4 stops throughout the park. As you ride, you can rest your feet and enjoy the scenic route on Walt's authentic steam-powered train.

I hope this helps in your decision and that you have a pixie-dusted time. If you have any more questions, please visit me here and let me know how I can help you plan your magical vacation.

    Wishing you magic!
