    When is the best time to travel to Disney with children between the ages of 4 and 8.

    My favorite time to visit is October. The weather is still very "summer-y", but it is not in the Orlando rainy season or overly hot.

    However, if getting an 8-year old out of school is an obstacle, I would recommend going as late in August before the start of school as possible. The later the better. The weather will be hotter and wetter, but it is still a nice time. And crowds, while larger than in October, should get smaller as the month goes on, and should be lighter than the height of summer.
