When is the best time to start planning a Disney Cruise? We are wanted to go end of summer 2013 to Bahamas. Do we still have time to plan, and are we able to make payments?

Welcome aboard, Shatema! The best time to start planning a Disney cruise is anytime! You can't go wrong planning early or later, Shatema, because Disney ships are always traveling to exciting destinations.

That being said, there are advantages to planning earlier. You'll most likely get a better price and your choice of stateroom. You'll have more time to decide on the extras you'd like to include, and of course more time to budget and make payments.

However, a last minute cruise is always really exciting as well. The end of this summer certainly is not last minute just yet, so go ahead and book it! As a first time Disney Cruise Line guest, you can make payments up until 75 days prior to departure, at which time your cruise must be paid in full. At that same 75-day mark, first time cruisers can also start booking any Port Adventures, Adult Exclusive dining reservations, and any other extras.

So, as you can see, you still have plenty of time to book before it's considered last minute, Shatema. Have fun as you choose the perfect itinerary for your family! Let me know if I can help as you continue to plan!
