Hi, when is the best time to phone dining reservations? In all my vacations to WDW I have never encountered such delays on the phone (45+ mins), it's getting very expensive calling from the UK, and I'm worried I'll never get my reservations! Thanks, Sue

Hi, Susan!  I'm sorry you are encountering such terrible delays in getting your call answered!  It can be frustrating when you call at a busy time.

When to call is not an easy thing to figure out, but my experience has always been that I have better luck getting through on the phone later in the evening.  I know it's the middle of the night for you when the phone lines are about to close for the evening, but I know I can usually get through fairly quickly if I wait until late in the evening to call.

Calling first thing in the morning sometimes gets you stuck behind the crowd of people trying to call for Cinderella's Royal Table reservations.  Many people like to call in right at seven in the morning to book that meal, as it fills up quickly.  I always try to avoid calling first thing so as not to get stuck on hold with so many people calling in for that reservation.

Other times I've had fairly good luck are at dinner time - between five and six in the evening EST.  I think a lot of people are coming in from work and getting dinner started, so it seems to be a good time for me.

I hope you get through without such a long wait next time!
