Welcome aboard, Tawana! Your little ones have no idea how much magic is in store for them on this trip!
Before you arrive at the port, you'll want to be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App onto your mobile devices. This, along with the paper Personal Navigator that you'll get, will keep you in the loop of what's happening and where onboard the ship. There is a whole section dedicated to listing the
Character Greetings that take place all day and night. You will have so many chances for your kiddos to visit with Mickey and his friends while you're onboard, and at Castaway Cay. Just check the App for the appearances and show up to that time and location to say hello and snap photos! It's super easy. My kids love that Mickey and his crew have different costumes each day. You'll get to see him as Captain Mickey, Pirate Mickey, in beach clothes, in formalwear, and more! It's such fun!
Pirate Night is a really fun night for the whole family. If you haven't yet, be sure to get some pirate costumes or accessories to wear. All guests receive a Mickey's Pirates IN The Caribbean bandana that night, but many guests go overboard (not literally!) with even more swashbuckling pirate gear to make the festivities all the more fun. When my kids were younger, we liked to enjoy the party and fireworks from the deck above the pool, so the kids could see better. It is Deck 10 on the Wonder and Magic (above the Deck 9 Goofy pool), or Deck 12 on the Dream and Fantasy, above the Deck 11 Donald's Pool). Check your App or Personal Navigator for the exact start time of the party, which is followed by the Buccaneer Blast Fireworks at sea!
Happy planning, Tawana!
