Ahoy, Kimberley!
It is great to hear from you again with another excellent question! Choosing when to cruise is the first step to planning your magical voyage aboard
Disney Cruise Line! Believe it or not, Disney ships typically sail at about 98 percent capacity, and many times are completely sold out. With that said, peak times are around holidays, spring break and summertime. My family has cruised to the
Caribbean almost every month of the year and loved every single one of them for many reasons! Even in January we found the temperatures very enjoyable! One of my favorite non-peak times to cruise is early October. This is a spooktacular time to set sail for a high seas adventure because the ship will be decked out with festive Halloween decor including the Pumpkin Tree in the Grand Lobby Atrium.
Halloween festivities will be sprinkled throughout the cruise, and you can dress-up for Mickey's Mouse-querade Party just like your favorite Disney Characters! Another reason I like October is the outside temperatures and water temperatures are still warm, but the humidity is typically a bit lower. October is still apart of hurricane season so that's always something to consider, but the captain will do his best to steer clear of any unfavorable weather and change the itinerary if possible.
Kimberley, good luck with your cruise planning! Thank you for continuing to stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your Disney Cruise Line questions!
Have a magical day!
