What's the best time to fall in line for the Sky liner in the morning from AA resort to HS to "rope drop"? Also, what's the best way to get to Chef Mickey's for a 5 pm dinner reservation, coming from HS park? Thank you!

    Welcome, Diane!

Getting to the theme parks the very first thing in the morning is an absolute must for my family. I love taking advantage of the cooler weather and the shorter wait times for all my favorite attractions.

Diane, I do have to tell you that my ultimate moment of triumph on our last vacation was being the THIRD family to enter the Magic Kingdom on the first day of our trip. Walking onto Seven Dwarfs Mine Train with virtually no wait really started our day out right.

When you arrive at the Disney Skyliner station at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, you will see a sign that lists the operating hours for the Disney Skyliner. Generally, these hours are about an hour before the theme park opens for the day. If you really want to be first in line for the Disney Skyliner, I would recommend that you arrive at the Skyliner station 45 minutes before the opening time. If you are alright being at the theme park before it opens, but do not need to be the first in line, you can arrive as little as 15 minutes before the Skyliner begins operating in order to arrive at Disney's Hollywood Studios before the published opening time.

Now, Diane, to get to Chef Mickey's after your day exploring the planet of Batuu and Andy's backyard, you will want to head to the front of the park and hop on a bus to Disney's Contemporary Resort. Once you arrive at the resort, get on the escalator where you will be whisked away to the fourth floor to dine with Mickey and pals! I do want to tell you that I recommend leaving Disney's Hollywood Studios at least 90 minutes before your dining reservation is set to begin.

I hope that this gave you a bit of guidance, Diane! Please come back here if we can help you figure out where to play, stay or dine during your fabulous fall vacation!

Enjoy your stay in the magic!
