You know that girlfriend who is so fun to shop with, because she always tells you to buy the things you love? Sometimes known as the "bad influence" friend? Here's the beauty of reserving a Disney World vacation package, which only requires a
$200 fully refundable deposit (prices subject to change). You can always switch your reservation later to a
Special Offer, Deal or Discount if one becomes available that works with your plans. Woo hoo! In fact, it's something you can often do easily yourself, right online. Just log on to
My Disney Experience, go to "My Plans", find your resort details and look for "Modify or Cancel Reservation". Or you can also call a Cast Member at
Disney Resort Reservations and they can help you switch to the deal.
The reason I think this is such a nice option, is that by making your reservation now you'll be assured to get your preference of Disney Resort, room type, and dates. It kicks off an exciting countdown, which you can watch in the
My Disney Experience app as your vacation grows ever closer (this is a daily hobby of mine, that brings me a little spark of joy every time!) And you can make payments along the way, of any amount and frequency. If you do switch to a deal later on, the amount you've paid will be credited towards your new total.
While we don't have any information yet, historically the Disney World Special Offers for the first part of the next year are sometimes released in September or October. So I'd keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, or that Disney World Special Offers page around that time. I'll be wishing on a star that you find a terrific money saving deal that works for you!
