Hi Kennedy,
Your Mouseketeers are going to LOVE visiting Walt Disney World Resort! While I think every age is a great time to visit, your kiddos are certainly at that age where they'll get swept up by the magic, and you're going to love seeing the wonder through their eyes!
While this
ticket guide could certainly be a helpful place to start, I'd encourage you to
include your entire family in the planning process. What kinds of
attractions,
restaurants, or
experiences is everyone most looking forward to? Once you have a feeling of your family's must-dos, that will make building your itinerary much easier. I find each of the
four theme parks to offer their own brand of magic and fun, and for the full Disney experience, I'd encourage you to plan at least one full day at each park. You can build from there, and if your family is big into classic Disney stories and characters, exploring the world,
Star Wars, or animals, then I'd be sure to add in more time at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, or Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, respectively. Of course, adding the
Park Hopper option to your tickets is a great way to gain some flexibility with your itinerary!
One other piece of advice? I'd encourage you to not over-schedule your vacation. My family has found through the years that every couple of days, we like to take a day off from the theme parks and sleep in, relax around the pool, enjoy the amenities of our
Disney Resort hotel, visit
Disney Springs, and slow down a bit to appreciate the magic all around us. We've found that overly tired Mouseketeers (of any age!) aren't very magical!
I hope this helps get you started, Kennedy. We love helping Guests experience the same kinds of magical visits we enjoy with our own families, so please feel free to stop by planDisney any time with your Disney-planning questions. I hope you and your family have a truly magical vacation next year!
