Hi Melissa! Welcome to planDisney!
Let me just start off by saying that any day at Disney beats a day at home, especially in this Massachusetts winter, so even if you plan on doing the exact opposite of what I suggest you're still going to have an absolutely magical trip!
Depending on the time of year you visit, you'll most likely be treated to some seasonal extras that will enhance the
Walt Disney World Resort experience even more. With seasonal festivals like the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival or
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, you and your little crew will be able to explore World Showcase while also trying tempting new snacks, enjoying pop-up performing arts, and checking out the jaw-dropping topiaries that are on display. In the fall and winter, two "After Hours" events,
Disney After Hours Boo Bash and
Disney Very Merriest After Hours give you and your party a chance to catch special entertainment and snacks, wander the Parks with fewer crowds, and walk right on most of the rides and attractions!
No matter which time of year you choose to visit, I would highly suggest staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Not only will you and your little ones be surrounded by magic throughout your entire stay, but the Resorts also come with perks like complimentary transportation that whisks you around the 40 square miles of the Resort, and
Early Theme Park Entry, so you can enjoy an extra 30 minutes of fun in any park on any morning. With five little ones in tow, you know you're going to be up early, so you might as well take advantage of jumping on
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance before the crowds come in!
For a party your size (if you don't want to splurge!) I would suggest looking into requesting two adjoining rooms at a kid-friendly Resort such as
Disney's Pop Century Resort or
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Not only will everyone love the theming, but these two Resorts also sit right on the
Disney Skyliner line, making them easily accessible to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios while giving a bird's eye view of the Resort! The Skyliner is an attraction in itself, so it's the perfect way to start off a super exciting day at the Parks!
I just know you and the kids are going to have an incredible time visiting the Fab Five. Make sure to schedule at least one character dining experience so that the kids can wave to their pals and see them up close! When you're just grabbing food around the Parks, I also highly recommend
mobile ordering. You can order lunches in the morning and they'll be ready for pick up later in the day! Without having to worry about ordering when it's super busy you can spend more time having fun and less time wondering how to fill those little bellies.
I know you're going to have an absolutely incredible trip!
