Hi there, Shannon! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
My family never misses the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. My son’s face absolutely lights up when he catches a glimpse of his current favorite character, Captain Hook, in a friendly skirmish with Peter Pan, while a group of dancing Lost Boys puts on a show.
If you are looking for shade, as we often are in the heat of the day, my absolute favorite spot to catch the parade is in Frontierland, on the side of the parade route where the shops are located near the
Country Bear Jamboree. As this is one of the few locations with shade on the parade route, it does get crowded quickly, so I would recommend arriving about 30 to 45 minutes before the parade is scheduled to start. I often find our spot with the kids and send my husband to
Aloha Isle to get Dole Whips for the entire family. There is a convenient cut through from Frontierland to Adventureland that pops out right next to Aloha Isle! Aloha Isle also has
mobile ordering, making this a super convenient, and cool, snack!
Shannon, if you would like VIP viewing for the parade, have you seen the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package? This package includes lunch at
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant where you may select an appetizer, entree, dessert, and a drink and also comes with vouchers to access a VIP viewing area along the parade route. While the VIP viewing area is located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. and provides the most spectacular backdrop for the parade, the last time that I looked, the VIP seating area was not located in the shade, so you may want to keep that in mind.
I hope that this helped Shannon, and please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if we can answer any other questions to help make your June vacation a little more magical!
