Best snacks to eat in Disneyland???

Welcome, Jerry! Disneyland snacks. Where, oh where, do I even begin? A huge part of enjoying our Disneyland experience for my family is treating ourselves to some of our favorite snacks throughout the parks during our visits.

Let's start with the absolute must-have: a Dole Whip! The traditional Dole Whip is pineapple flavored soft serve. Sounds pretty basic, but believe me, it's not. There is something oh so magical about this treat. I like to treat myself to the traditional Dole Whip, but my kids prefer the Dole Whip float. Yum! However you take it, it's a tasty treat and can be found at the Tiki Juice Bar counter outside Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. Our Disney vacations are not complete until we've each enjoyed at least one Dole Whip.

Another of our favorite treats are the Matterhorn Macaroons. This coconut treat is shaped like the Matterhorn mountain and dipped in white chocolate "snow". When my daughter was younger and very much on the fence about riding the Matterhorn Bobsleds for the very first time, I promised her a reward of a Matterhorn Macaroon if she gave it a shot. Well, needless to say, she adored the ride and enjoyed her promised treat while we waited in line to ride again! I'll always remember that, and have the best photo of a very proud young lady displaying her Matterhorn Macaroon with the Matterhorn that she conquered in the background. I don't need to bribe her to ride these days, though she'd like if I did! Swing by Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe to pick one up for yourself, but only if you've braved your own ride on the Matterhorn Bobsleds!

Sounding similar, but actually very different,  are the Mickey Macarons, not Macaroons. These are huge versions of our favorite macaron style cookie, and shaping them like Mickey makes them even more tasty somehow, and definitely more photo-worthy! The flavors vary, but I haven't tried one I haven't liked yet! These, too, are at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe.

One more of my favorite treats is over at Disney California Adventure. First of all, I love Disney's Cars. So, Cars Land is my happy place. At Sally's Cozy Cone Motel, at the Popcone (of course!),  they sell dill pickle flavored popcorn. What? Sounds strange. I don't like pickles, but a friend turned me onto this tasty popcorn years ago when Cars Land first opened, and I gave it a shot! Wow! So good! Now, I must have at least one "cone" full each time I visit. While you're there, the Chili "Cone" Queso is a must-try as well. Yum!

There are plenty of other Disneyland Park treats worth mentioning, but I don't have enough room to gush about them all, Jerry. So, have fun trying those that I mentioned, and enjoy scouting out the other tasty treats around the parks!

    Bon Appetit!
