What is the best ship/destination for a family of three that includes an eight year old boy. Looking to relax and swim! Thanks.

Welcome aboard Deanna! All four of Disney Cruise Line's magical ships are unique, but all four offer sailings that you can tailor to the desires of your family! Because there are activities and events all day and night for kids of all ages and adults as well, you can make your cruise the perfect one for you.

My son's favorite ship is the Magic because he loves Marvel's Avengers Academy in the Oceaneer's Club where he can virtually try on Iron Man's suit. If your son is a superhero fan, the newly re-imagined Disney Magic is a great ship for him. Not only can he play in Marvel's Avengers Academy in the Club, but in the Oceaneer's Lab there are all new pirate themed spaces and activities. Plus, Captain America makes appearances on the Magic as well.

Now, if you take a look at the itineraries for the Magic and don't see one that is right for your family, let me reassure you that no matter which of Disney's pixie-dusted ships you choose, your family is going to have so much fun. Many of the same activities and events are planned on each ship, so you will get the full Disney Cruise Line experience on all four ships. Your son will have plenty of activities from which to choose, and while he's playing in the clubs, you and your husband can enjoy lots of relaxation in the adult only spaces onboard. Each ship has an adults only pool called Quiet Cove Pool, along with a deck area reserved exclusively for adults. If your itinerary includes a stop at Castaway Cay, there is even a separate beach just for adults. So, whether you want to play, play, play, or relax the day away, or a little of both, Disney's got you covered!

Check out this video that shows that there is something for everyone on a Disney cruise, and have fun planning, Deanna!
