Hey there, Lori, and welcome back to planDisney! We’re always thrilled when you stop by!
For your upcoming journey from Shades of Green to Magic Kingdom, with a stop at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, here’s a smooth and scenic route I think you’ll enjoy:
Step 1: Start by hopping on a bus from Shades of Green to Disney Springs. Once you arrive, you’ll have two fun options to reach Port Orleans – French Quarter:
Option A (My favorite!): Take a relaxing boat ride from Disney Springs to
Port Orleans – French Quarter. It’s about a 15-minute stroll through Disney Springs to reach the boat dock, but the walk is lined with shops, music, and tasty treats, making it part of the fun! Then, enjoy a leisurely cruise down the Sassagoula River. It’s a charming and peaceful way to see another side of Walt Disney World Resort!
Option B: If you prefer, you can also take a Disney bus directly from
Disney Springs to the lobby of Port Orleans – French Quarter.
Step 2: Once you’ve had your fill of beignets or just soaked in the beautiful vibes of the French Quarter, hop on a resort bus bound for
Magic Kingdom. The bus will drop you off right at the front entrance, which is just steps away from
Cinderella Castle and the start of some truly magical moments.
Try to allow at least 90 minutes for the full journey, just in case you need to wait for transportation at any point. And don’t forget to check bus and boat schedules in the
My Disney Experience app to keep things running smoothly!
Let me know if you’d like help planning anything else for your day. It’s always a joy to help make your Disney days extra delightful!
Toodles,
Korliss
