What is the best resort to stay at with a 6 month old? I am a nursing mom, looking to only do Epcot and MK. and some DT Disney and the boardwalk. What is the best my best option w/ all these things in mind?? I was thinking Saratoga in a villa? Help!!

    Hi Donna,

Congratulations on the new addition to the family.

I agree that with a baby, the villa-style rooms are a wonderful choice. The one-bedroom villas give you two separate rooms with a door between them. This is perfect if the baby is napping. You can be chatting or watching TV in the other room, without disturbing the little one. Also, you can get up with the baby for late-night feedings without disturbing your partner.

Other benefits of the villas include the in-room washer/dryer, which are a HUGE help with cleaning up the inevitable baby messes, as well as the full kitchen for storing/heating any baby food or snacks for yourself.

Saratoga Springs is a relatively inexpensive villa option, with good access to Downtown Disney. It is not, however, particularly convenient to the theme parks. If you have access to a car, this is less of an issue. But if you're planning to use Disney's free resort transportation, you would find the Boardwalk Villas, the Beach Club Villas, or the Bay Lake Tower Villas at the Contemporary all much more convenient than Saratoga Springs.

The Boardwalk and Beach Club are an easy walk into Epcot and a quick boat ride to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Bay Lake Tower is a quick walk or monorail ride to the Magic Kingdom. You could also get to Epcot via the monorail from Bay Lake, with one easy transfer.

Personally, if money were no issue, I'd put you in a one-bedroom villa at Bay Lake Tower, with the Beach Club a close second choice.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if we can provide additional assistance.
