What is the best way to request a specific area at a specific resort?

Hi there, Nancy! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

Isn't there just some sort of magic that's always surrounding you when you stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel?  I find it hard to explain, especially because they're all so different, but the theming, the convenient location and the superior Cast Members just really keep you in some sort of pixie-dusted bubble the entire time you're at Walt Disney World Resort

Many Guests have their idea of a practically perfect Guest room, whether that means being close to the pool or having a view of Cinderella Castle.  In fact, my mother hates elevators and will go out of her way to request a room where she can actively avoid one! Depending on your preferences and what you're looking for in your specific room you may want to book a certain type of room, instead of just making a request. When making your Resort reservation, you'll see that there are different room categories available.  For example, at Disney's Contemporary Resort you'll find Standard View rooms, Theme Park View rooms, Main Tower rooms, and Garden Wing rooms.  If something like a Theme Park View is important to you, booking that type of room guarantees you the view, whereas making a request after does not.

If you're just looking for a specific floor or building of a Resort or want to be close to an elevator, these requests can be made during the Online Check-In process in your My Disney Experience account.  When looking through these room request options if you can't find what you're looking for you can always call and speak with a Cast Member about your reservation at (407)-939-1936. While these requests are not guaranteed, Cast Members will do their best to help make your stay exactly what you're envisioning.

Nancy, while you're in the planning process, don't forget to make your Park Pass Reservations as soon as you've purchased your Theme Park Tickets! Lately, Guests have been flocking back to the Resort, and you'll want to make sure you can visit every Park on the days you want to! Booking early is the best way to make sure your vacation plans go just as you want them to!
