What is the best way to request connection rooms, with parties traveling together (separate reservations)? It doesn’t appear to be an option in the online check in. If I call to request this, how far ahead would be the most helpful?

Hiya, Amy! Welcome back to planDisney!

Oh boy! I'm so excited to hear that you're putting the finishing touches of pixie dust on your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation! It sounds like you're traveling with a group of people, which absolutely warms my heart. As my pal Olaf says, "Some people are worth melting for!" Amy, here's a little secret: magic multiplies when it's shared with people you care about, and your trip is sure to be an extra special one.

I'm happy to let you know that requesting connecting rooms is as easy as bibbidi-bobbidi-boo! You're welcome to make this request as far in advance as you'd like. Personally, I like to make this request earlier on so I know it's attached to my reservation and I can continue making other plans. Please know that while nothing is guaranteed, Cast Members always do their best to make each Guest's day the BEST. DAY. EVER!

You have a couple of options to make this request. First, you can request this through the My Disney Experience app! Log in and tap the icon that looks like three stacked lines in the bottom right corner. Tap "Chat With Us" and leave a message with a Cast Member, who will respond to you as soon as they're able. Pro tip: try to include as much information as you can, including your reservation number as well as the other travel party's names and reservation number. You could also call a Cast Member to make this request! Again, do your best to provide as much information for both travel parties as possible. You're also welcome to remind the Cast Member at the front desk when you check in.

Amy, don't forget that you're able to make your advance dining reservations 60 days prior to your trip (which would be July 19!). If you're staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you'll be able to make your reservations 60 days prior to your arrival date for the length of your trip (up to 10 days). And while you're finalizing your plans, I'd suggest taking some time to download and explore everything that the My Disney Experience app has to offer! You'll be able to check wait times for attractions, view park maps, and even mobile order food. This is a great way to minimize waits and maximize the fun!
