Hello and welcome back to planDisney, Tracy!
Disney’s BoardWalk is a wonderful place to spend some time on a non-park day. I highly recommend visiting in the evening if you are able. There is something extra magical at night as the lights glow overhead, and you enjoy the BoardWalk with an
ice cream in hand. The evening is also when the entertainers make their appearances with fun acts like juggling, balancing acts, and more.
Traveling between two
Disney Resort Collection Hotels takes a bit more planning than traveling to the theme parks. Other than a taxi or rideshare there are no direct routes between
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas. While it’s not what I would call “direct” there is another way to get there using Disney transportation. You could take a bus from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. From the theme park, you then have three options. You can take the walking path to Disney’s BoardWalk. This is about a 15-minute walk, and when we stay at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas we make this walk fairly often. You can also take the Friendship Boat that makes stops at The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas, and Disney’s Beach Club. Or the third option is to hop the
Disney Skyliner. You will need to get off and t
ransfer to the Epcot line at the Skyliner hub at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. But once you arrive at the Epcot station, you will be just outside the park at the International Gateway and it is a short walk to Disney’s BoardWalk from there. If you have time, I find both the boat and the Skyliner to be fun and pleasant ways to travel.
I hope this helps with your planning, Tracy. Wishing you a magical visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort!
