Hi Celeste!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for bringing your question to us today. I am so happy to help you plan the perfect vacation to
Walt Disney World. It looks like you will be visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth in just two months, which is so exciting!
I have young children myself, and let me tell you, they are going to absolutely love the whole resort. I am sure you will too! Every Disney Park offers experiences the whole family can enjoy together, which was actually one of Walt Disney’s inspirations for creating Disneyland 70 years ago!
Out of all the parks,
Magic Kingdom has the most attractions with no height requirements. I would definitely recommend "it's a small world," "Dumbo the Flying Elephant," "Peter Pan's Flight," and if your little one is ready for a first rollercoaster, "The Barnstormer" starring Goofy is a great choice.
EPCOT is one of my favourite Disney Parks. Here, your little one can explore a gigantic aquarium and ride "The Seas with Nemo & Friends," and experience the magic of "Frozen Ever After." Celeste, my secret tip is to grab a snack and head to the exit of "Mission: SPACE." You will find an air-conditioned children's play area that is often overlooked, making it a great spot for little ones to let off steam while you take a break, and enjoy that snack.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a wild adventure. You and your child can get up close to iconic animals on "Kilimanjaro Safaris" and set sail through Pandora on "Na'vi River Journey." One of my favourite experiences with my four-year-old son was taking the train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch, where he loved meeting the animals at the petting zoo, especially the pigs.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios also has plenty for young Mouseketeers. Your five-year-old will love "Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway," the first attraction to star Mickey Mouse himself. If they enjoyed The Barnstormer, they might be ready and tall enough to ride "Slinky Dog Dash", a thrilling but family-friendly coaster.
Walt Disney World is one of the most fascinating places on earth, and its size must not be understated, it's huge! There will be lots of walking, so those young legs can get tired. My little ones do not use a stroller at home, however when we visit Florida we use a double stroller for them to nap in, so we can still enjoy the Parks. Strollers are available for rent at all of the Disney Parks, I have included a video all about it, just in case!
Celeste, I hope this gives you a good idea of just how much there is for your little one to enjoy at Walt Disney World. If you have any more questions as you plan your trip, please
reach out to me. I'd love to help.
Have a magical day!
Matt
