    Where and when is the best place for a 5 year old boy to spend a birthday meal at WDW?

    Amy,

    There are a few good choices, and these are some of my favorites. Opt for dinner, where the experience is not rushed in the desire to get back into the parks. I pick these for fun atmospheres, and in many cases they are the places where he is likely to get the most attention for his birthday.

    Top 2 Choices
    Whispering Canyon Cafe (Wilderness Lodge)
    Hoop Dee Doo Review (Fort Wilderness Campground)

    Next 2 Choices
    50s Prime Time Cafe (Hollywood Studios)
    'Ohana (Polynesian)

    But what if you are looking for something based within or near the park you are visiting on that day? Here is where I would go;

    • Magic Kingdom: Go to the nearby Whispering Canyon Cafe recommended above.
    • Epcot: Try either Via Napoli, or Biergarten
    • Hollywood Studios: As mentioned above, the 50s Prime Time Cafe
    • Animal Kingdom: Tusker House (but I would do this at lunch, since it is not a character meal at dinner)

    I hope that this helps? Write me back if you have any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
