Best place to stay in the park for eight year old and two year old with a kitchen?

    Welcome Wylena!

We are so glad that you are here! It's super chilly around the country right now, so grab a steamy mug of your favorite beverage and let's chat about Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

For your upcoming vacation, let's focus on two things to help us select the perfect Disney Resort hotel:

    1. A full kitchen, as requested. This makes healthy choices and budgeting a snap. Great call!

    2. Convenience to the theme parks and dining. You will likely be pushing a stroller and all of the snacks, bags, drinks, and random things that get stuffed in the basket below. This is a THING on a Disney vacation! I want to make sure you are getting where you need to be quickly and easily with the warehouse of things we tote around on a visit with our Main Mouse.

With this in mind, I think you are looking for a 1-Bedroom Deluxe Villa. These spacious accommodations offer full kitchens that are well stocked and a full-sized washer and dryer, allowing you to pack less! Also, you will find separate bedrooms and living spaces, large balconies or patios, beautiful pools, fun family activities, and convenient locations. Let's dive in!

Community Halls have always been treasured family spaces. When the rain comes down, this is the perfect place to stay active and creative. We love them as a "Plan B" for our theme park days or a destination on your Resort-only days. Let's add this to our list!

Wylena, I recommend Disney's BoardWalk Villas or Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Both of these Deluxe Villa Resorts offer at least one incredible pool, a Community Hall, super-convenient access to at least one theme park, and some extra-special touches.

Disney's BoardWalk Villas offers FriendShip (boat) transportation or beautiful walking paths to both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. I cannot emphasize enough how much we love this level of convenience. If you plan to visit either (or both) of these theme parks, you will not need to empty and fold your stroller all day! Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park are both a quick bus ride away.

Plus, it is located right on Disney's BoardWalk. There is always something interesting to see or do in this beautiful area. Bonus: you can even walk to Beaches & Cream Soda Shop for a Kitchen Sink Sundae

Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is only steps away from Magic Kingdom Park! From the television in a Theme Park View Villa, you can stream the music for Happily Ever After and watch it from your balcony in your pajamas as the Monorail zooms by. This is what memories are made of!

Also, you can "Ride High in the Sky" on the monorail to Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT, as well as the other monorail resorts, conveniently from the platform located in Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Finally, one of the most iconic Disney Character Dining Experiences, Chef Mickey's, is located just a five-minute walk away. Your kiddos (and you!) will love it.

I know this is quite a bit to consider, Wylena! I hope it was helpful! Come on back with any other questions and planDisney is happy to help!

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
