Where is the best place onsite to get a good deal for Disney gear? My kids want to bring their own money to spend at DW but I want them to be able to get the best bang for their buck. Any suggestions?

There is one store in the Marketplace area of Downtown Disney where everything is $10 or less. Often this is off season merchandise or items that are being discontinued. That's the only real onsite bargain place that I know of.

Merchandise pricing is uniform through Walt Disney World. If a T-shirt costs $20, then it will be the same $20 price in all the parks, all the waterparks, all the resorts, and at Downtown Disney. Even sale prices are consistent throughout the property. I was at WDW a few weeks after Christmas this year. The post-holiday markdowns on the decorations were exactly the same everywhere I went.

One suggestion I might make is that once your children have made their souvenir purchases, try to limit their time in stores after that. (Almost impossible at WDW, I know, but worth a shot.) I usually give my girls a souvenir spending budget for the trip. I find that they almost always end up with "buyers remorse" after using up their funds. The souvenirs in the next shop are always soooo much cuter/softer/prettier/funner than the one they just bought. They less merchandise they see after they've used up their money, the less complaining you'll likely hear.
