which is the best park to come with friends in disneyworld

Hi, Samantha! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for bringing your question to us. Walt Disney World Resort is full of amazing experiences, making it the perfect destination for a fun-filled day with friends. Whether your group loves thrilling attractions, savoring delicious food, or exploring unique entertainment, there’s a park that will make your day together truly unforgettable. Let’s explore your options.

When it comes to choosing the “best” park, the answer can vary based on your group’s preferences, ages, and priorities. Are you all about high-energy attractions, or do you prefer a day of snacking and sipping your way around? Recently, the planDisney Class of 2024—fondly known as the Sweet 16—gathered at Walt Disney World, and we found different parks perfect for different kinds of group fun. In my opinion, though, it often comes down to two top contenders: EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park.

If your group enjoys snacking, dining, and sampling drinks from around the world, EPCOT is the place to be! The World Showcase is ideal for sharing snacks and discovering new flavors. My planDisney bestie, Jenna J., swears by margaritas from La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico Pavilion, while I’m partial to the Citron slushies from the France Pavilion (they pair perfectly after a trip on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure). On our last visit, while waiting for Frozen Ever After, Susan C. surprised us with Viking Coffee from the Norway Pavilion. These little moments of treating each other make EPCOT an unforgettable group experience.

For a nostalgic trip, Magic Kingdom Park is unbeatable. It’s the heart of Disney history and home to classic attractions like Jungle Cruise, The Haunted Mansion, and it’s a small world. Fan-favorite rides such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Peter Pan’s Flight bring the fun, while newer additions like TRON Lightcycle / Run and the recently updated Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ensure there’s something fresh and exciting to enjoy. Whether you’re rediscovering childhood favorites or screaming with delight on thrill rides, this park creates memories that last a lifetime.

Finally, don’t overlook the magic of a non-park day at Disney Springs. It’s a fantastic spot for groups to relax and recharge. With incredible shopping, entertainment, and dining options, you can spend time together in a lively atmosphere that still carries that signature Disney touch.

I hope this helps point you in the right direction! If you’d like help planning your day in more detail—like dining recommendations or must-do attractions for your group—feel free to send me another question. I’d be thrilled to help you create a day you and your friends will always remember.

    See you real soon!
