    What is the best moderate or value resort for a family of 2 adults and one twelve yr old during october? - thank you

    Hi Nicole!

    October is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World! Crowds are typically lower, the weather has started to cool off from the hot summer heat, and the Magic Kingdom is beautifully decorated for Halloween.

    Personally, I have to recommend Port Orleans French Quarter. We really prefer the smaller size of this resort over some of the other moderates and value resorts. A couple of other great bonuses for Port Orleans French Quarter are the boat transportation over to Downtown Disney (great for meals, shopping, or even a trip to DisneyQuest) and the ability to use the pool and amenities at Port Orleans Riverside. Having this option might be extra fun - if you're planning a day or two of downtime at your resort.

    Plus, don't forget to sample some of the beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter - YUM!
