What is the best Moderate resort for a family of four (2 daughters ages 6 and 8). Looking for a resort that is relatively close to the MK and that has a great pool to come back to each afternoon. estimated arrival is Early June.

    Michele,

I have to say that the Moderates are all pretty comparable in terms of their appeal, just with different themes. When forced to choose I usually pick Port Orleans French Quarter as my favorite Moderate Resort. The boat access to Downtown Disney is a nice diversion for kids, and I like being able to easily visit there for shopping, dining, and entertainment.

However, in your case I would suggest instead that you choose Port Orleans Riverside. The boat perk still applies, but you have a resort property that is better suited for children. The grounds allow for more interesting exploration, and there are also some fun activities like carriage rides.

As for the pools, they are all good. Caribbean Beach has a newly refurbished one that is probably the best, but not enough to change my overall recommendation.

Coronado Springs is a great resort, but I prefer to avoid the convention crowds.

Travel time to Magic Kingdom from all the Moderate resorts, while not exactly identical, is not different enough to mean much.
