What is the best mode of travel and how much time to allow for 6:30 dinner ADR from MK to O'hana and also from Epcot to 1900 Park Fare? Staying at OKW and also have ADR 8:05am b'fast at Tusker House, so what time will bus have first pick up? Thanks!

    Hi Tiffany,

You have some wonderful meals planned for your upcoming vacation!

In general, I always allow at least 45 minutes to an hour to travel to a dining reservation in another park or resort. This allows for wait time for the transportation and travel time as well as walking from the transportation depot to the restaurant. Plus I would rather be early and explore the resort than be late.

From the Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian Resort, you have two options. You can take the monorail to the Polynesian and then you are right in the main lodge for 'Ohana. However, the monorail is scheduled for repairs so check with a cast member at the Magic Kingdom what the schedule is like while you are there. The other option is by boat that puts you at the marina and you will need to walk about five minutes to the main building. Both options will only required 30 minutes travel so I would plan to be at a transportation site by 6:00 pm.

From Epcot to 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian, you will need to take the monorail. Remember to transfer at the Ticket & Transportation Center to hop on a resort monorail otherwise you will be back to Epcot. You should plan on being at the monorail station 30 minutes prior to your reservation.

As for breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom, you will need the 7:00 am bus to the Animal Kingdom provided the park opens at 8:00. If the park is opening later, there should be a Special bus to take you to your breakfast. Consult with the concierge at your Walt Disney World Resort the night before for a time.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
