What is the best mod with rec activities for a 4 yo and 14 mos old? This is our first trip in the fall and I'm not sure where to stay. Thank you!

    Kathy,

I think that Port Orleans Riverside is the best of the moderates for people with younger kids like you (and me!). There seems to be just a hair more to do there, and I love the ability to load my kids onto the boat to Downtown Disney. The ride is an attraction unto itself, and getting to the stores and treats of this area is a plus.

Some of the fun includes horse-drawn carriage rides, a playground, a Pirate Adventure Cruise as well as a marina with boat rentals, bike rentals, fishing, and campfires.

The one exception I would say is the pool area. While the pool at Port Orleans Riverside is great, the newer water activity area that they built by the main pool at Caribbean Beach is pretty amazing, especially for a youngster like your 14 month old. I normally don't recommend Caribbean Beach, as I think it is so spread out that transportation times seem to be painfully long, but if the pool is the #1 thing you are thinking about, this might be a contender.

Otherwise, in all other facets, I think that Port Orleans Riverside just leads the way with things to do!

    Have a magical vacation!
