Hi, welcome to planDisney.
One of the best ways to experience
Magic Kingdom Park, especially
with kids who don't yet know what to expect, is to let the magic surprise them. Without pressure to "do it all," you can focus on the adventure rather than a checklist.
I would recommend starting your day by arriving at park opening. This is when crowd levels are lowest. Head straight to Fantasyland, which is perfect for the age range of your kids.
Peter Pan's Flight is a practically perfect first ride. It gets busy later in the day, so riding it first thing is a must. Even the queue is magical! You can then ride classic attractions, like
"it's a small world," Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and
Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid. These are all gentle and delightful attractions for young kids. My kids also love riding
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel and exploring the shops.
Build in plenty of "wandering time." Let them notice the marching band on Main Street, U.S.A., watch
The Dapper Dans, or catch the
Festival of Fantasy Parade as it rolls by. A mid-day break for lunch and something calm, like the
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, can help everyone recharge without feeling like you're losing valuable time.
As evening approaches, pick one last thing to look forward to—maybe
Pirates of the Caribbean,
Jungle Cruise, or simply watching Cinderella Castle light up after dark. Your kids will be tired by the evening (and you will too!), but I highly recommend sticking around for
Happily Ever After. It's the perfect kiss goodnight from Disney.
I hope that's helpful! Have a wonderful trip makin' memories with your kiddos.
Mike
