BEST LOCATIONS TO WATCH THE PARADES AT THE MAGIC KINGDOM

    Happy New Year, Lucie!

I'm absolutely thrilled to welcome you BACK to planDisney with another great question! Your Walt Disney World vacation is just days away now, and I can only imagine how excited you must be feeling right now. You're this close to walking down Main Street, U.S.A., taking it all in, and feeling that Disney magic wrap all around you. I know this is the time when you're putting the finishing touches on your plans and last-minute details, so let's not waste another moment...let's skip, hop, and jump right into your question!

There are currently two parades at Magic Kingdom: Festival of Fantasy, which takes place during the day, and Disney Starlight, the newest nighttime parade. Both offer wonderful viewing opportunities, and while everyone has their own favorite spots along the route, I'm happy to share the locations I love most.

One of the most popular and fastest-to-fill areas is the Hub at Central Plaza, located right in front of Cinderella Castle. While this is a classic choice, I actually prefer heading all the way down Main Street, U.S.A., to Town Square and finding a spot right up front. From there, you get a beautiful view straight down Main Street with Cinderella Castle perfectly framed in the background. I usually aim to arrive about an hour before the parade starts to secure a good spot, and it's the perfect time to grab a snack...maybe some popcorn or a treat from the Main Street Confectionery.

If you're looking for a great view with slightly fewer crowds, Liberty Square is another fantastic option to consider. And one important note to keep in mind: for Disney Starlight, the parade route runs in the opposite direction of Festival of Fantasy, meaning it begins on Main Street, U.S.A., rather than ending there.

Okay, Lucie, I'll keep this short and sweet so you can get back to packing those bags...and maybe sneaking in an extra pair of Mickey ears! Thanks for stopping by planDisney. Wishing you the most magical trip!

    See ya real soon,
