What is the best way to get from kidani village to the grand floridian - do we need to go to magic kingdom first?

    Hi Deborah,

I hope you're having fun dreaming about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! An escape to sunny Florida next January sounds like a WONDERFUL idea! Not only will you love soaking up some magic and fun, but the Epcot International Festival of the Arts will be going on, and it's one of my favorite special events! Between the fantastic food, entertaining performances, inspiring visual pieces to explore, plus the chance to personally step into the art, you're going to LOVE it!

If you're traveling between Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, you have several options. If you're wanting to take advantage of Disney's complimentary Resort transportation, taking a bus to Magic Kingdom Park then hopping on the iconic monorail would likely be the fastest and easiest. Just make sure when you board the monorail that you're on the Resort monorail, not the Express one. The Express one will only take you between Magic Kingdom Park and the Transportation and Ticket Center.

If you're waiting at your Resort hotel and use the handy dandy bus arrival times feature within the My Disney Experience mobile app to discover that another theme park bus will be arriving sooner, you can also head to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park or Disney's Hollywood Studios, then simply switch buses once you arrive to head to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. If you hop on a bus to Epcot, you'll be able to take a monorail from there to the Resort hotel, too, but it will require a transfer once you arrive at the Transportation and Ticket Center. Of course, if you're in a hurry, the stylish Minnie Van service would be the fastest way to travel. It does require a small fee, but it's so convenient and relaxing!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Deborah, and please come see us again if we can help with anything else. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
