You are all the best! I'm a bit confused and we leave in 27 days! I asked a cast member if I had an table service that wasn't used - could I use them for a counter service - she answered no. I thought I read on the panel that I could. Thxs for the help!

    Jamie,

If I didn't know better, I'd think you were doubting the Moms Panel. ;-)

Well, let me help clear up the confusion by saying that both responses may be correct.

You see, there may technically be a rule somewhere that says you can't use a table service credit for a counter service meal (I really don't know if there is or isn't), but in practice you might find that you will be allowed to do it.  I personally have used a table service credit for a counter service meal, simply because we were a group of six, and only had one table service credit left and this was the only option left for me.  Although it isn't a good use of a table credit, it beats losing it entirely.

One other general rule of thumb to keep in mind when asking Cast Members questions is that if you don't think the first response you get is correct, don't hesitate to ask/call another Cast Member to get a second or third opinion.  There are so many things to learn about WDW, that it isn't possible for one Cast Member (or admittedly one panel of 12 Disney nerds fans) to know everything, and therefore you might sometimes get incorrect responses from well meaning Cast Members (or even, gasp!, sometimes here from the "Moms").  In this case, however, I think you got appropriate responses from both sources, even if the answers were different. ºoº
