Holiday greetings, Kelly!
Can you believe you'll be enjoying a holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort this weekend? I can only imagine how excited you must be to experience holiday chEAR during the merriest time of yEAR!
Kelly, I love that you asked this question because the holiday season is my favorite time to visit "The Most Magical Place on Earth." My family always has a must-do list for our December visits, and I'm always looking for new things for my family to experience. First, we love visiting the Deluxe Resort hotels to see their beautifully-themed Christmas trees, dazzling decor, and
gingerbread displays. You can visit the three monorail resorts and then take the
boat over to Disney's Wilderness Lodge from either Magic Kingdom or Disney's Contemporary Resort to see their decorations. Once you are done there, take another boat over to
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground to see some impressive holiday displays at the campsites. You will be amazed at how elaborately these are decked out for Christmas! You may also want to look into booking a holiday
horse-drawn carriage ride if you decide to visit. And do arrive hungry because there will be lots of holiday treats available for purchase, especially at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa! My daughter and I tried the cake pop, and it was so decadent! If you have time, the Resort hotels along
Disney's BoardWalk are also worth a visit!
I also recommend spending time at
Disney Springs for some yuletide fun, Kelly! The
Christmas Tree Trail is simply stunning during the day, night, or both! You'll also love all the live holiday entertainment you'll find sprinkled throughout the area.
Stitch's Holiday Scavenger Hunt is a festive, interactive activity that is great for all ages! Maps and gift stickers can be picked up at several locations at Disney Springs, and you'll receive a holiday surprise when you turn in your completed map. After you complete the hunt, stop by The Ganachery, Amorette's Patisserie, or Sprinkles for some holiday goodies! And don't forget you can see Santa at his Chalet. You'll be given a buzzer when you check-in, so you can shop or eat while you wait.
I hope you have the most magical holiday visit, Kelly!
Nancy
