My best friend and I are planning a girls trip in November. I purchased both of our park tickets and linked them to my account since I will be making most of our reservations. Can she also link to the account/tickets to view the plans and make reservations

Hi Cara, and welcome to planDisney! We’re always delighted to help you plan a magical adventure.

It sounds like you and your best friend have an unforgettable trip ahead. I completely understand wanting to dive into planning all your adventures together, and the Disneyland App makes it super easy to link accounts and keep everything organized. Since your tickets are already linked, let’s get your best friend set up to add you to her MyDisney account.

To get started, she’ll want to log in to her account through the app. Once logged in, tap the menu icon (those three magical horizontal lines) in the bottom right corner and select “My Tickets and Passes.” On that screen, she can click the plus icon in the top right corner to open the “Link Tickets and Passes” option. From there, she can either enter the ticket ID numbers manually or use the app’s camera feature to scan the barcodes. Once your ticket is linked, you'll officially be part of her MyDisney crew!

Once you're all connected in the app, you’ll have the power to make park reservations, select Lightning Lane return times, and share those precious Disney PhotoPass memories. One tip my wife and I love to use when visiting the parks is to divide and conquer. On busy days, I’ll take care of our Lightning Lane selections while she handles mobile dining orders. Sharing the workload keeps things running smoothly, and gives us more time to soak in all the magic together.

A quick note about dining reservations, Cara: only the Guest who made the reservation will see it listed in their plans. If someone else tries to link that same reservation, they’ll get a message that it’s already assigned to another account. So if you made a reservation (say, for Carnation Café) it will only appear in your MyDisney account, not your best friend’s. I recommend sharing your dining details with each other to help avoid any confusion or accidental double bookings.

And here’s one last Q-Tip that’ll add an extra dose of fun to your day: be sure to use the Characters tab in the Disneyland App to track down your favorite Disney pals! You can see who’s meeting where and when across Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. From spotting Mickey at his house in Mickey’s Toontown to watching Spider-Man swing through Avengers Campus, character encounters are pure magic, and perfect for making unforgettable memories.

If you have any more questions about the Disneyland App or want more tips for your visit, don’t hesitate to reach out again. We’re always here to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your plans!

    Enjoy your visit,
    David
