Hi Kimberley,
I absolutely love the idea of a best friend's anniversary celebration. Disney World is the perfect place to celebrate any milestone, and I couldn't imagine a more fun way to celebrate the joy of friendship! I may have to steal this idea for my friend group because it is perfect.
Since you already have a decadent experience planned at
Victoria & Albert's, you might want to consider spending some time relaxing beforehand at
The Grand Floridian Spa. This spa is the ultimate indulgence and is home to the best massage I have ever had. I love to have a spa day before dinner at any of the restaurants at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. This spa has a fabulous steam room, showers, and a dressing area so you can bring along your fancy clothes and get ready there before you head straight over to dinner in a fully relaxed state.
I see that we have similar tastes in
Enchanted Extras, so I am super excited to tell you about some of my favorite ways to indulge on a trip to Disney World. You and your friend are foodies who clearly with exquisite taste, so there are a few other food-related experiences that are well worth it! We recently tried the
Amorette's Patisserie Cake Decorating Experience in Disney Springs and it was such a fun way to spend an afternoon. The beauty of this experience is that you walk away with a delicious cake to eat afterward. While you are decorating your sweet concoction, you will get to sip on specialty teas and alcoholic beverages! They will also hold your cake for you afterward so you can walk around and enjoy some time shopping at Disney Springs. I recommend checking out the Levi's store there where you can make custom denim. My best friend and I designed custom denim jeans last time we visited and it was the perfect souvenir.
If you want a great location to watch fireworks from, consider checking out one of the two restaurants at Disney World that offer a rooftop view of the evening fireworks. The
California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort is a three-course meal with the ultimate view of the Magic Kingdom and a stellar wine list. I always opt for the wine pairing because it is top-notch. After dinner, you are welcome to go out onto the rooftop and watch the fireworks. If you want a rooftop view of the fireworks at EPCOT with a distinctly European flair, head over to
Topolino's Terrace at Disney's Riviera Resort. This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants at Disney World, and they have a comfortable rooftop patio with a bar to view the evening fireworks in style.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
