Heather,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
What a great place for a birthday dinner!
Toledo does not just serve great food, it also serves up great views!
I have a few suggestions. Pick the one you think best matches your schedule.
Option 1: Disney Resort Transportation can serve your needs, though it would include some transfers along the way. Leave the Fort Wilderness area by catching a boat from the marina to the Magic Kingdom. Once you are there, simply walk over and take the bus that will deliver you to
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. You can get home the same way, however you will want to pay attention to the time of your return. Returning via this route is dependent upon how late the Magic Kingdom is open on that day. Transportation from the park only runs up to an hour after park closing.
Option 2: As suggested, you can take a taxi or call a Lyft or Uber ride. You would need to take the Fort Wilderness interior bus route to the main entrance to the south to catch your ride. Obviously, this would work in both directions.
MY RECOMMENDATIONIf it were me, I would take the Option 1 route to get to dinner, and then the taxi option for the return home after dinner. If you leave with enough time, the trip to your celebration dinner will start with a scenic boat ride, and who can't get behind that! The cab ride home then expedites your travels and catching a cab in front of Coronado Springs will be easy.
BONUS TIPTo make the celebration a bit more special, leave for dinner early enough to enjoy a drink at the
Dahlia Lounge that is also at the top of the resort. Sitting there as the sun starts to drop down in the sky will afford you a beautiful view worthy of your birthday!
