What is the best way to dress my 5 year old son for magic kingdom? We are going in may and it is calling for 94 that day. I was considering a swim suit is that a good idea?

    Hi Lisa,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  Your 5-year-old is going to love experiencing all of the attractions and entertainment options that await at Magic Kingdom Park.

As a mom of four children which includes 3 boys, I recommend dressing your little one in a light-colored, breathable fabric such as cotton. I have visited Walt Disney World Resort many times in late May and always dressed my boys in lightweight t-shirts and athletic shorts. My boys have never worn a swimsuit to the parks since they find athletic shorts to be the most comfortable option when park touring. I do recommend packing comfortable walking shoes and a generous supply of sunscreen. If you will be staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you may want to consider going back to your resort for a midday break or swim and then return to the park in the early evening.

I hope this information is helpful in making the best decision for your family. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out again. Best wishes for a magical trip, Lisa!

    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
