Welcome aboard, Gail!
I had the most wonderful adventures in Europe when I traveled there with Disney Cruise Line. Disney knows how to plan the best Port Adventures in each of the exciting ports of call, and onboard, there is endless entertainment, some of it even related to the port which you'll be visiting the following day! About to dock in Naples? The kids can take part in learning about how volcanos work and exploding their own in the Youth Clubs. The next day, get off the ship and head to explore Pompeii! Where else can you live learning experiences like that?
I'm not sure I could really say which of
Disney's European itineraries is the best, but I'd have to vote for the longer sailings, because you'll get to experience much more. Looking at the current itineraries, if you've never been to Europe before, I'd suggest the 10-Night Mediterranean sailing if possible. After that, probably one of the 7-Night Mediterranean sailings. These each visit Italy, Spain and France, with various port stops in each country, giving you a real
taste of the history, culture and flavor of these European countries.
Of course, the British Isles, Northern European and Norwegian Fjords are really unique sailings in Europe too. If you've already visited France, Italy and Spain, than opt for one of these cruises which take you to some pretty amazing cities with gorgeous sights to see from the ship and in port! No matter which you choose, be sure to book Disney's Port Adventures which help you
make the most of your time in European ports!
Have such fun planning, Gail!
