Best days to visit Magic Kingdom Orlando in September

Hi Marylin! We're so glad to see you here at planDisney!

Marylin! It looks like today is your special day! I hope you're on your way to The Most Magical Place on Earth and ready for what is certainly going to be a memorable vacation! Get ready for all the fall festivities like the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!  Even if you're not up for Mickey's Special Event, you'll still be able to see all the gorgeous decorations sprinkled around Magic Kingdom.

The entire month of September is known to be an excellent time to head to Walt Disney World Resort for many reasons! The weather is a little cooler than in the summer but still sunny and hot, most children have just started back at school and are not on vacation, making for lower crowd levels, and as I stated above, you get to experience extra activities planned just for the season!

Since local visitors still enjoy sailing on "it's a small world" and flying through Space Mountain on the weekends throughout the month, you'll most likely see even more thinned-out crowds on weekdays. You'll also want to take Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party into account, as Magic Kingdom closes at 6 p.m. on the nights of these eerie extravaganzas.  If you want to watch the sun rise and set on Cinderella Castle you'll want to make sure your visit doesn't coincide with one of these parties.

When checking Theme Park Reservation availability for the month of September I'm seeing that currently, only two days no longer have Theme Park Reservations available.  Tomorrow, September 19th, and Monday, September 26th are currently full, and since Guests need both a valid Theme Park Ticket as well as a Theme Park Reservation to enter their first Park of the day, you'll definitely want to avoid these if you have not made your Theme Park Reservations yet.  If you haven't already, I would definitely suggest purchasing your Theme Park Tickets and making your Theme Park Reservations as soon as possible so you don't lose out if other days start to fill at Magic Kingdom.

As a Guest who has been there on even the busiest days, I promise you're going to have a wonderful time no matter what!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
