What is the best way to check for cancellations in dining for Chef Mickey's or Cinderella's Royal table. We are coming mid-November 2013 and everything is already reserved for these 2 places. Any other suggestions for character dining?

    Hi there Linda!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We're glad you're here! I'm so sorry you have not been able to secure an Advanced Dining Reservation for Chef Mickey's or Cinderella's Royal Table for your upcoming Walt DIsney World vacation. Unfortunately, both of these Character DIning Experiences are very popular and traditionally book up months in advance. I would recommend calling Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE or by checking online periodically since you never know when someone may cancel. You may also find last minute availability as many guests will cancel at least 24 hours in advance in order to prevent being charged a cancellation fee or full payment depending on the specific dining location.

One of my favorite Character Dining Experiences is 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast, located at Disney's Polynesian Resort, which features Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto. Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare in DIsney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is another great dining location. You may also consider Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion of Epcot for a fairytale experience featuring the DIsney Princesses. I would recommend calling Disney Dining directly so that a friendly cast member can notify you of all the Character DIning Experiences that are currently available for your specific dates of travel. You can then book one based on the actual availability for your vacation dates and then modify your Advanced Dining Reservation should you later find an opening at Chef Mickey's or Cinderella's Royal Table. I hope this information is helpful! Please don't hesitate to write back if you have any additional vacation planning questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Linda!

    Bon Appétit,
