Hi Victoria,
Disney World has the most comprehensive collection of resort hotels imaginable. There is truly something for everyone. I have stayed at almost all of them and have loved every single one of them.
The only moderate resort located in the Magic Kingdom area is the
Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. I love this hotel not only for its proximity to Magic Kingdom but also for the amount of resort activities available. There is archery, horseback riding, a fabulous pool area, and canoe or kayak rentals. This resort feels like such an escape from the real world but it is just a boat ride away from Magic Kingdom. I recommend checking out the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue for a fun evening show and bbq dinner that is delicious! Outside of the immediate Magic Kingdom vicinity is
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. This is also a great option because you can utilize Disney Skyliner transportation to EPCOT, take a short bus ride to Magic Kingdom, and enjoy one of the coolest themed pools on property.
When I am looking to book a value resort at Disney World, I gravitate towards
Disney's Pop Century Resort and
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. These are both located in the World Wide of Sports Area which is not far from Magic Kingdom and have access to the
Disney Skyliner which is a quick and easy way to get to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and several other resorts. One of my favorite things about a resort on the Disney Skyliner is the access to restaurants at other resorts like Disney's BoardWalk Resort and Disney's Riviera Resort.
If you have any more questions about specific resort hotels or want more advice feel free to send me another question! I am more than happy to help and love talking about resorts.
Happy Planning
Jenna
