Hello - what is the best way to arrive for early park entry if you’re staying at a WDW resort? Are buses running that early or is it better to do Uber? Thank you!

Hey Jennifer! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

You have so many things to look forward to on your next trip to Walt Disney World Resort! My family and I always stay at Disney Resorts Collection hotels for the many perks that come with it, and no matter which Resort we pick we've always been more than satisfied.

I love the Disney Resorts for many reasons, including Early Theme Park Entry and their close proximity to the Theme Parks, but I also just love being surrounded by Disney magic all throughout my stay.  You never know when your favorite character might pop into your Resort's lobby or what you might see by just looking out your window.  During a stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, I was greeted by a flamboyance of flamingos every morning and at Disney's Contemporary Resort my children got to enjoy The Electrical Water Pageant right from their beds at night.  These are pixie-dusted experiences that are hard to find anywhere else!

If you're planning to use the perk of Early Theme Park Entry to your benefit I think it's a great idea to decide on transportation now. This way, instead of worrying about how to get to Magic Kingdom you can worry about whether you should ride Peter Pan's Flight or Space Mountain first!  An extra half an hour might not seem like a lot but when there are no crowds and you can just walk on some of the most popular attractions, I promise it will be worth getting up a little earlier!

The choice is yours when it comes to getting to the Parks each day.  Disney Bus Transportation tends to run every 20 minutes starting 45 minutes to an hour before the Parks open.  If you want to be on the very first bus in the morning, I would suggest getting to the bus stop about an hour before opening time.  Disney Buses also tend to drop you off a little closer to the Park entrance. Rideshare companies are also an option, though I'm all for complimentary Disney transportation.  Depending on which Resort you're staying in, you may also have exciting transportation options like the Monorail and Disney Skyliner, which really are attractions in themselves.

I hope you get to use Early Theme Park Entry time to your benefit! The morning sunshine sparkling on Cinderella Castle as you walk down Main Street U.S.A. is certainly a memorable way to start your day!

Be sure to come back and see us again if you have any other planning questions!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
