Hunter,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
There is no question that with both the Animal Kingdom and
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort in your plans, there will be exotic adventures in your day!
From your question, I was unsure if you are asking about traveling from
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park or
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to the Polynesian, so I will cover both routes.
From the LodgeTo get from the Animal Kingdom Lodge to the Polynesian, you take a bus from that hotel to either the Animal Kingdom theme park, Disney Springs, or the Magic Kingdom Park. Once you have arrived at either the Animal Kingdom theme park or Disney Springs, you then transfer to a bus that will take you the rest of the way to the Polynesian. If you take the bus to the Magic Kingdom, you then take the monorail to the Polynesian. But which route should you choose? As long as you keep in mind that transportation to parks ends roughly an hour after a given park's closing time, any route would work fine. Just take that closing time into consideration, to ensure that the second leg of your journey will still be available. If that is a concern, then use the Disney Springs route. My personal choice is the route via the Magic Kingdom, as I always love a ride on the monorail!
From the ParkTo get from the Animal Kingdom theme park to the Polynesian, you simply ride the direct bus line from Point A to Point B, and you are ready for your island escape!
BONUS TIPEveryone dreams of that Dole frozen treat in the Magic Kingdom. But did you know that Disney's Polynesian Village Resort has the
Pineapple Lanai stand, where you can get several variations of this popular Dole treat, including adult beverage versions?
