what is the best way to get from animal kingdom to downtown disney and back

    Hi Rod,

Honestly, the easiest way is to take a taxi. The cost would be somewhere in the neighborhood of $15.00 per trip. Taxis are readily available at the front of the Animal Kingdom parking lot and at Downtown Disney.

If you'd like to use Disney's free transportation system, you'll be taking the buses. There is currently no direct bus service between the Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney. This means you'll need to make a transfer at a resort. Choose a resort either near the Animal Kingdom or near Downtown Disney. For example, you could:

    - Take a bus from the Animal Kingdom to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. From there transfer to a bus to Downtown Disney.

    - Take a bus from the Animal Kingdom to the Saratoga Springs resort. From there transfer to a bus to Downtown Disney.

Other good interim stops might be the All Star resorts, Old Key West, or Port Orleans. I'd just hop on the first one of these resort buses to arrive. To get back to the Animal Kingdom, just reverse the trip.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
