Hi Ashley!
What a wonderful question! There are many differing opinions on the best age to take a child to Walt Disney World, but my personal preference is anytime after they are potty trained.
I took my daughter while we were potty training her, and while Disney has wonderful services, such as the
Baby Care Center, which is a great spot for bringing little ones to feed them, change diapers and nurse, I found it a bit stressful to deal with the constant potty trips.
On the other hand, I've had friends wait until their kids are 10 or older to take them because they want them to remember the trip, but I think that there is a lot of missed opportunity if you don't take them when they are younger.
Disney World can be absolutely magical for little ones! You can get them their first haircut at
Harmony Barber Shop, see their expression when they meet Mickey Mouse for the first time and hold their little hand while walking through the park.
Also, many don't know that Disney has many attractions for all ages, such as Country Bear Jamboree, the Walt Disney World railroad, "it's a small world" and
Mickey's PhilharMagic.
When you visit, make sure to get them their first pair of Mickey ears with their name embroidered. They will cherish them for a lifetime.
Magically,
Stacy
